Sleeping Dogs, Persona 4 Arena Released

You know it’s a good game when every character stares off into space on the poster.

It’s here, folks. The long summer has finally ended and a steady stream of high quality games are on the way. The latest game published via Square Enix, Sleeping Dogs, has arrived (Though you’ll probably get this published by Namco Bandai if you live in Australia). Developed by United Front Games, this release was initially conceived as a sequel to True Crime: New York City (2005). Long story short, True Crime didn’t sell as much as expected and everybody was sent back to the drawing board. Luckily, we retain some of the urban sandbox-style gameplay in Sleeping Dogs, so don’t miss out on this title if you want a somewhat grittier take on the now-classic Grand Theft Auto formula.

In other news, Persona 4 Arena has recently been put out by ATLUS Games to much critical acclaim. It’s a spin-off on the JRPG series Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, with Persona 3 and 4 being the most well-known stateside (And dare I say it, the best). Created by Arc System Works, the good folks responsible for BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, Persona 4 Arena is a fighting game with what’s rumored to be over 40 hours of gameplay. Wow, I wouldn’t mind getting a piece of that. And if you’ll excuse me, mon0r fans, I’ll be off to get me a copy of both of these games.
