Denpa Onna’s Author to Start Arata-naru Sekai Project Series

It was revealed on the Dengeki Bunko imprint that Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko’s curator Hitoma Iruma will be launching a mixed project based on the title Arata-naru Sekai. The project will go on to create a light novel, manga, and television anime series.

Hitoma Iruma is said to be collaborating with artist Kendi Oiwa, also known for his Welcome to the N.H.K. work, and illustrator Kurehito Misaki for both the manga and novel releases. Hitoma Iruma will be also collaborating with studio MADHOUSE, production company Aniplex, and musical composer Satoru Kousaki, also known for his Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Bakemonogatari, and Nisemonogatari work, for the television anime release.

Arata-naru Sekai’s story follows a “time researcher” and a group of children in a depopulated world that finds itself stuck in time. In order to save humanity, some of the characters are chosen to travel to the future, and others to the past, while those who are deemed unsuitable for the technology stay in the present.
