During the E3 conference briefing before, Nintendo went on to confirm that Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros, U games, and Ubisoft’s ZombiU game will all be arriving to the new Wii U console.
In Pikmin 3, the game will use the consoles high-definition graphics and its touchscreen GamePad to better focus on the multitudes of creatures under the players control. Producer Shigeru Miyamoto discussed the development of the Pikmin title for the Wii U since the revelation of the Wii U last year, and this will be the first Pikmin game in eight years since its sequel, Pikmin 2 for the GameCube.
In ZombiU, the GamePad can be used as a second screen for sonar, inventory, scanner, sniper, door-hacking, and other modes. In Batman Arkham City Armored Edition, the GamePad can be used for inventory and other features.
Other featured titles include Scribblenauts Unlimited, Lego City: Undercover, and Just Dance 4. The new Wii Fit U exercise game will use the existing Wii Balance Board along with a new Fit Meter pedometer that transmits running data to the GamePad via infrared.
Nintendo also went on to reveal that the Wii U can support two GamePads, however the frame rate will only support up to a maximum of 30 frames per second compared to the 60 frames per second for just one GamePad. The GamePad will come in two colours, white and black.
