Fans of the series of Code Geass should be gleaming in joy for an interview with the producer, Masa Ozaki, of the company, Sunrise, has said that a new TV anime series of Code Geass is going to air this coming year of 2012.

An interview with Masa Ozaki resulted in a Q&A style getting people asking at the Otakon panel.

Q: Tell us anything about the new Code Geass Spinoff?
Q. ギアスのスピンオフはどうなってるんですか？

A: I knew that question was coming
The next season of Code Geass is proceeding as planned
So they are working hard on it, we will be able to release it next year
It will take place in the same world as Leluche, but different characters
but the stage is set in europe, so we’ll see european countries

ギアスの次シーズンは計画通りに進んでいます。
彼らは熱心に取り組んでおり、来年にはリリースできるでしょう。
それはルルーシュと同じ世界ですが、異なるキャラクターの物語となります。

Ozaki stated that the new season will also take place in the same world as Lelouch except with different characters.
